S’West TETfund Chair Solicits Support for Tinubu in 2027, Says Coalition a Waste of Time

The Southwest Chairman, Board of Trustees, Tertiary Education Fund projects, Sunday Adepoju, has solicited support for Tinubu in winning the 2027 election.

According to him, the opposition coalition is heading towards failure.

Contained in a statement on Sunday, Adepoju stated this during his visit to the Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro, to inspect some of the projects funded by TETFund.

According to him, president Tinubu has improved funding of the education sector which has helped to change the narrative of infrastructural decay in the country, while also eradicating the era of long-time industrial disputes and shutting down of the nation’s tertiary institutions.

He lauded the president for approving the upgrading of the Federal Polytechnic Ilaro to Federal University of Technology.

He stated that the upgrade is a significant step to strengthen the institution to provide top-notch manpower to advance sustainable development and technological breakthroughs in the country.

Soliciting support for the president, the chairman clarified that his visit to the institution was not a mission to campaign for the president but out of his good will after seeing the change the president has brought.

“I was not sent on a campaign tour while coming here but for this unprecedented positive change being witnessed to be long-lasting, President Tinubu should be voted for a second term in office.

“I want to implore the good people of Nigeria to support President Tinubu for a second term in office, as he is determined to restructure the core fabrics holding the country together for the betterment of all.

“There’s no doubt that President Tinubu mean well and should be supported

“I congratulate everybody in this environment and congratulate myself for having the opportunity to convert this polytechnic to a university.

“If you know what it will form, you will join me in giving kudos to the sponsor of the bill, Sen Solomon Adeola and President Tinubu who assented to the bill.

“I have seen the studio of the polytechnic television, I have seen other iconic projects like the Arts and Design department, among many others.

“It has been a case of judicious use of TETFund sent to you to put things in place. I give you kudos. I have gone round, and I have seen things by myself. I am highly impressed.”

To the IGR drive of the institution with the establishment of the printing department, Adepoju extended the spotlight.

He further urged the management team of the school to never think they have done more than they should but keep up with their determined bid to further develop the institution.

The Rector of the school, Dr Mikail Aremu Akinde, who spoked on behalf of the management team and staff, thanked the visiting team of the TETFund for their kindness while pleasing for more funds for more development.
