I Almost Withdrew From Presidential Election in 2023 - Tinubu Narrates Journey

Dumping a Sinking Ship not Bad, Be Absent From a Coalition of Confusion – Tinubu Shades PDP, ADC

President Bola Tinubu has thrown an indirect shade at the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the coalition-backed African Democratic Congress (ADC), stating that dumping a sinking ship (PDP) was not wrong as he referred to the ADC as coalition of confusion.

The president stated this during the APC NEC meeting in Abuja on Thursday.

According to him, all Nigerian politicians who wish to can defect to the APC without fear. On that note, Tinubu indirectly slammed the PDP as a sinking ship stating that anyone who wishes to defect to the APC was free as there is enough room.

He welcomed the two governors who recently defected to the APC from the PDP; Governor of Delta State, Sheriff Oborevwori and Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom State.

To the coalition ADC, Tinubu also noted that members who want to defect can do so without looking back as he described them as a coalition of confusion.

“It’s not a bad idea to abandon a sinking ship and be absent from a coalition of confusion.

“With the space that we have created to allow aspiring people to join us, our doors are still open and we should embrace them wholeheartedly.”

NEWSMAXNG reports that the President at the same meeting, had earlier announced the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Prof. Nentawe Yiltwada, as National Chairman of the party replacing Dr Abdullahi Ganduje, who resigned on June 27.
