How Umahi’s Daughter Bagged First Class In Robortic Engineering From Foreign University (Photos)

Kimberly Olanma Nweze, daughter of the Honourable Minister of Works, HE Senator David Umahi, CON, has made her family and the entire nation proud by graduating with First Class Honours in Robotics Engineering from Queen Mary University of London.

According to available reports, Kimberly is only the second known Nigerian to achieve a First Class degree in Robotics Engineering. The first was Silas Adekunle, renowned inventor of MekaMon, the world’s first intelligent gaming robot, who graduated with First Class Honours in Robotics from the University of the West of England, Bristol.

Robotics Engineering is an interdisciplinary field that focuses on the design, development, and deployment of robots. It merges key concepts from mechanical engineering, electrical and electronics engineering, computer science, and artificial intelligence to build machines capable of performing complex tasks with little or no human intervention.

Today, robots are revolutionizing industries including manufacturing, healthcare, agriculture, defense, and space exploration. From robotic arms in factories to autonomous drones and life-saving surgical robots, robotics engineers are shaping the future of technology and human interaction.

Kimberly’s exceptional academic milestone is not just a personal victory—it stands as a beacon of inspiration for Nigerian youths striving for excellence on the global stage.

Her proud parents, Senator David Umahi and his beloved wife, Chief Mrs. Rachel Umahi (Ogoo Nwanyi), were present at the graduation ceremony to celebrate this remarkable achievement.
