A private Radio station in Ebonyi State, Legacy FM has lifted the suspension of the General Manager, Godfrey Chikwere.

A staff working in the Radio station who doesn’t want his name mentioned confirmed the reinstatement to NEWMAX NIGERIA on Monday night.

According to him, “yes, the owner has lifted the suspension but it’s internal. There is no going to be any announcement about it”, he told our reporter.

The move follows a series of on-air and social media remarks by Chikwere, which criticized the administration of Ebonyi State Governor Francis Nwifuru.

In a Facebook post on August 8, Chikwere accused the government of poor communication, weak appointee performance, vague policy direction, and a dwindling support base. He urged the governor to “step on toes” to deliver results .
