You Are Too Small To Reply Me – Chief Ezeh Emmanuel Ezeh Fires Back At Nwifuru Media Aide After Rejecting Appointment
One Leak Too Many… Who Are the Real Enemies of HEX Nwifuru’s Government?
Let me begin with a firm disclaimer: I am baffled by how easily confidential memos and documents from the heart of the Ebonyi State government find their way to social media. I did not leak this to the press. So the question remains, who did? And why does this keep happening?
Mr. Oguzor Offia Nwali has gleefully alleged that I intentionally leaked the memo to the press. I sincerely hope he has evidence to support that claim. Again for emphasis, I DID NOT LEAK THE MEMO TO THE PRESS.
Ordinarily, I would ignore the noise from faceless voices, the data boys, who lurk in the shadows of social media, stirring drama for relevance. But today, I must speak.
I find it deeply insulting that Leo Oketa, a media aide of the Ebonyi State government, would publicly cast aspersions on my character simply because I exercised my right to decline an appointment which was done privately. Let it be known: this discussion is ordinarily above his pay grade. The only person I owe an explanation to—had he sought or engaged me privately—is His Excellency.
What’s even more troubling is Leo Oketa’s deliberate misuse of his office to target me, a private citizen. That act alone raises serious questions about his competence, his integrity, and his understanding of public service.
My position has never been ambiguous. As President of the Ebonyi Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture, I continue serving my state with dedication and vision. I do not need titles to validate my commitment. Suggesting that I declined the appointment due to party affiliation is not only false – it is insulting. It is a direct assault on my person making me vulnerable to unwarranted attacks, both personal and professional. I now live under the weight of targeted criticism and potential harm, orchestrated with chilling precision.
I call on every reasonable Ebonyians (especially the elders of Izhi land) to recognize these unwarranted threats. This is not just about me. It is about the dangerous precedent being set by government appointees who weaponize their positions against citizens who choose to walk a different path.
I am beginning to see a pattern. These leaks may not be accidental after all. Are they dark, calculated moves? Are they designed to embarrass me, provoke public backlash, and pave the way for coordinated attacks?
But the bigger issue here is why and how information keeps leaking from within the government. Or is Oguzor suggesting this is the first time?
I can ony imagine that if I hadn’t documented my reasons for declining the appointment, the narrative would have been twisted beyond my imagination. But we must remember that democracy thrives on plurality or opinions, constructive engagement and active contests for people’s hearts and opinions.
I pray His Excellency calls his subordinates to order.
I want to assure fellow Ebonyians that I will continue to serve with dignity, without compromising my freedom or values. I only wish my right to privacy is respected.
This government is one I invested and supported to reality. I will never pull down a house I helped build because snakes and scorpions have blocked its entrance.
