The Chairman/CEO of Chuby-Zion Nigeria Ltd, High Chief Peter Chibuike Orogwu has emerged “2025 Ebonyi Business Man Of The Year.”
The business mogul, popularly known as Babyoku polled 9,345 votes to defeat three other nominees, Ifeanyichukwu Odii, Chief Ojimba Chikaodili Ojimba and Enviable Ituma Chukwuemeka in the Business Man Of The Year category.
Babyoku who hails from Amudo, Ezza South Local Government Area, Ebonyi State, Nigeria has used his wealth to empower many Ebonyi youths.
Some of his well-known product lines include ; Baby Oku Bitters, Dorobucci Bitters, Ghana Native Gin, Gbese Fire Bitters, and many more.
Despite his humble beginnings which include working various jobs in Lagos — hawking used clothes and bus driving — before venturing into the beverage business with savings of ₦19,000 and support from his brother, Babyoku has continued to touch the lives of many Ebonyians.
Recently, he fulfilled his promise of giving electricity to a community in Ebonyi State by donating a brand new transformer to them which erupted jubilation in the Community.
Also, in 2025 the business mogul provided scholarship to hundreds of indigent Ebonyi youths, provided funds for others to start different businesses of their choice.
Babyoku has equally provided thousands of jobs for the youths through his different companies both in Nigeria and outside the country.
Ebonyi Leadership Excellence Award is an annual award event organised by NEWMAX NIGERIA to recognise those doing well in various sectors in Ebonyi State.
