Chelsea Appoints Liam Rosenior as New Men’s Team Head Coach

Chelsea Football Club has officially named Liam Rosenior as the new head coach of their men’s team.

Rosenior, who enjoyed a successful career in both the Premier League and Championship, comes to Stamford Bridge with a growing reputation in coaching. He has previously worked in youth development and first-team coaching, earning recognition for his tactical knowledge and ability to develop young talent.

The club expressed confidence that Rosenior will bring fresh ideas, energy, and strong leadership to the squad as Chelsea aims to compete at the highest level in domestic and European competitions. On Chelsea’s official website, the club welcomed him warmly, stating:

“Chelsea Football Club is delighted to announce the appointment of Liam Rosenior as head coach of the men’s team. We look forward to his leadership on and off the pitch. Welcome to Chelsea, Liam!”

Rosenior joins Chelsea after a successful stint overseas with RC Strasbourg, where he led the French side to European qualification for the first time in 19 years during his debut season. Before that, he held coaching roles in England with Hull City and Derby County.

On his appointment, Rosenior said he feels “humbled and honoured” to take over at Chelsea, praising the club’s history and winning tradition. The 41-year-old has signed a contract running through 2032.

He emphasized his commitment to preserving the club’s identity while fostering teamwork, unity, and togetherness on and off the pitch.

“My goal is to build a team that reflects Chelsea’s values in every match and continue winning trophies. I will give everything to ensure the success this club deserves,” he stated.

Rosenior also expressed excitement to work with Chelsea’s current squad and staff, aiming to create strong connections and a united environment. He stressed the importance of making fans proud through performance, calling them

“the soul of this enormous, historic football club.”

Chelsea added that Rosenior has demonstrated the ability to build teams with a clear style of play while maintaining high standards both on and off the field. While player development will remain a focus, the club expects Rosenior to maximize the squad’s potential and ensure Chelsea remains competitive at the top level in the current and future seasons.
