US Will Not Back Down in Protecting Nigerian Christians — Rep Riley Moore

Rep. Riley M. Moore, who represents Virginia’s Second District in the United States Congress, has reaffirmed that the U.S. remains committed to defending Christians in Nigeria.

Moore made this known during an interview with Newsmax while responding to a recent threat issued by ISIS, in which the terrorist group reportedly warned Nigerian Christians to either renounce their faith or face death.

According to the lawmaker, the United States, acting under the leadership of President Donald Trump, will continue to assist Nigeria by providing essential military support to combat terrorism.

He stated that ISIS had released a message targeting Christians in Nigeria and stressed that the U.S. would not retreat from standing with fellow Christians. Moore also expressed satisfaction with the Nigerian government’s collaboration with President Trump in the fight against extremist Islamic groups.

He added that both countries are working together to eliminate radical terrorists threatening lives and stability.

It will be recalled that on Christmas night, the U.S. military carried out airstrikes on terrorist hideouts in Sokoto State, reportedly firing about 12 Tomahawk missiles.
