A TRIP TO EQUITY MUST BE DONE WITH CLEAN HANDS- DON’T WALK WITH LIES

Engr David Umahi, CON on inspection

Distracting and disturbing is the paid propaganda I saw today championed by one Josiah Peter Oche, who claims to represent the Joint Council leadership of students. He had made a fake list of roads he claims to be in bad condition and a paralytic threat of going on a protest on the 4th of February, 2026. In his already failed plan to drag our progressive minded Nigeria student into his little lies, he included that the roads in question were around University corridors.
Stating nonexisting demand as his quest for the said protest.
Going through the list of roads mentioned, one thing speaks loudly, he is totally not familiar with the roads, hence the contradictions in the names of roads. An example of his blunder is the Onitsha-Owerri expressway where he emphasised the Ihiagwa axis near Federal University of Technology, FUTO. This road is nonexistent. Ihiagwa only plays host to Portharcourt-Owerri expressway which is an ongoing project under the Imo state government.
Promptly, the field supervisors attached to the Ministry of Works had moved to the various sites and roads to ascertain the genuineness of his claims but on getting there, as expected, his agenda is far from concerned about the Nigerian road but rather a selfish interest-sponsored propaganda that lacks every iota of credibility or merit, as the said roads are in good condition.
Confirmatory Videos and pictures have been floated by the Federal Ministry of Works media not really to appease the unappeasable but to guarantee Nigerians that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR through his proactive Ministry of work Engr David Umahi, CON is taking no nap as regards putting the Nigerian roads in a deplorable state.
Where do we start from;Coastal roads, relieving and economic boosting superhighway, innumerable expressways, bridges, flyovers etc I will lose count in numbering the diligent effect of the Renewed Hope Agenda on the Nigerian roads principled by Engr David Umahi.
“NIGERIA MUST WORK” has become a popular quote by the Honourable Minister as he travels the length and breadth of the Country inspecting the progress of ongoing road projects and commissioning where necessary. Stakeholders, engineers, site worker and journalists have commended in recent times the work schedule of the ministry and how much he has motivated them by his commitment to duty.
This is also a clarion call to desist from being a society that throws away the baby and the bathwater. His Excellency President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s present federal ministry of Works under Engr David Umahi is working. The bath water of empty sentiments and propaganda must be discarded only.
