Tears Of Joy As Ebonyi-born Business Mogul, Moneybag Gifts His Father New House (Photos)

A young entrepreneur from Ebonyi State, Igwe Zeal Uchenna, popularly known as Zeal Moneybag, has built and officially launched a new house for his father, Igwe Oriri Nwede, in Ndiechi Igbeagu, Izzi Local Government Area.

The house was launched yesterday amid jubilation, prayers and cultural displays, drawing community leaders, traditional rulers, friends, family members and business associates from within and outside the state.

The event was graced by village elders and chiefs, as well as notable traditional rulers including Eze Clement Eze and Eze Jonas Nwobasi, the King of Ndiechi Autonomous Community. Their presence highlighted the cultural importance of the occasion and the community’s collective endorsement of the young man’s gesture.

Also present was Zubitech Global, a renowned entrepreneur and philanthropist, who joined other well-wishers in celebrating the achievement and honouring the family.

The celebration was especially meaningful for the family, whose roots trace back to Mfuma, a village in Izzi near the border with Cross River State.

Residents of Mfuma and surrounding communities were forced to flee decades ago because of a long-running communal crisis and boundary dispute between the Izzi people of Ebonyi State and the Ukelle people of Yala Local Government Area in Cross River State. The conflict, which began around 2005, stemmed from disagreements over land ownership and boundary lines and led to violent clashes, destruction of homes and farms, and widespread displacement of families from the area.

Because of the crisis, many inhabitants of Mfuma abandoned their ancestral homes and relocated to safer communities, including Ndiechi Igbeagu where the family of Zeal Moneybag now resides. Though peace efforts have taken place and discussions continue toward reconciliation and return, the effects of the conflict remain part of many families’ histories.

During his remark, Eze Clement Eze commended Moneybag for the gift and equally praised him over his efforts in ensuring that peace is restored in Mfuma.

Speaking with Newsmaxng, Igwe Oriri Nwede expressed deep surprise and joy at the gesture, describing it as a moment he never imagined.

He offered prayers and blessings for his son, thanking God and the community for witnessing such a milestone. There was more than enough food and drinks as people came together to celebrate and officially launch the house.

In his remarks, Zeal Moneybag said building the house was his way of appreciating his father for the sacrifices he made while raising him. He cited a popular saying, noting that “they say a child trains the father after he must have trained him,” adding that the project was born out of gratitude.

The ceremony ended in high spirits, with music, dancing and prayers from elders, as guests praised the young entrepreneur for setting an example of filial responsibility, cultural respect and community-driven success.

Many attendees described the event as an inspiration to young people, proving that hard work, gratitude and remembrance of one’s roots remain powerful values worth celebrating.
