Ongoing Media Tour in Bauchi State by Director of Information and Public Relations, Federal Ministry of Works.

 

As part of efforts to keep the public informed on the progress of critical infrastructure projects, the Director of Information and Public Relations of the Federal Ministry of Works, Muhammed Ahmed, is currently leading a media tour to Bauchi State to inspect the ongoing rehabilitation of the Bauchi–Gombe Road

The Director was accompanied on the inspection by key stakeholders, including the State Controller of the Federal Ministry of Works, Engr. Adamu; the Vice Chairman of the Nigeria Society of Engineers (NSE), Bauchi State Chapter, Engr. Shehu Wakili; the COREN Bauchi State Officer, Ibrahim Ahmed; the Bauchi State Field Supervisor, Babangida Yaya Jarmari; the *Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Bauchi State Chapter; as well as other relevant professionals and stakeholders in the sector.

During the inspection tour, the Director of Information and Public Relations announced that the Federal Government, under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has approved the dualisation of the road corridor from Nasarawa to Gombe. He further disclosed that work on the project has already commenced, underscoring the administration’s commitment to improving road infrastructure, enhancing safety, and boosting economic activities across the region.

Providing further technical insights, the State Controller of the Federal Ministry of Works gave a detailed briefing on the scope of the project, the current level of progress, and the quality control measures in place. He assured stakeholders and road users that the project is progressing steadily and is expected to be completed before the end of the year, barring unforeseen challenges.

The media tour reinforces the Ministry’s dedication to transparency, stakeholder engagement, and effective communication, while also highlighting the Federal Government’s resolve to deliver sustainable infrastructure that supports national development and regional connectivity.
