Bauchi Governor Sacks Internal Security Commissioner
Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, has removed the Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Ibrahim Gambo Galadima, from office.
The development was disclosed in a statement issued in the early hours of Monday by the governor’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mukhtar Gidado.
According to the statement, the decision followed a minor adjustment to the composition of the State Executive Council, with Galadima’s exit taking immediate effect.
The government said the move forms part of an ongoing review of the cabinet aimed at improving performance and strengthening the delivery of government programmes across the state.
Gidado explained that the administration periodically assesses its team to introduce new ideas, enhance governance, and ensure policies are implemented more effectively.
Governor Mohammed thanked the former commissioner for his service and contributions during his time in office, wishing him well in his future pursuits.
He also assured residents that his government remains focused on maintaining peace, security, and efficient leadership in the state.
The statement added that a successor would be named at a later date.
