Female Student Cries Out After Alleged Lover Disappeared With Her New Motorcycle, Other Items (Photos)
A female student of the College of Education, Katsina-Ala, has alleged that a man she recently met made away with her motorcycle and other valuables after gaining her trust under the guise of a relationship.
The man, identified as Mr. Aondoaseer Hyacenth Iortyom, was said to have met the student along Ugbema Junction while she was travelling for the weekend on her motorcycle.
According to the lady’s account, the suspect requested a lift as he was also heading toward Turan-Kwande.
She stated that after arriving in Jato-Aka, where he reportedly became stranded, she assisted him in securing free accommodation and later dropped him off at Ugbema Junction the following day as he proceeded to Gboko, while she returned to Katsina-Ala.
The relationship, she said, progressed afterward, with the suspect visiting her at school. On one occasion, he reportedly accompanied her to campus to sign some documents.
While she waited for her turn, he allegedly asked for her motorcycle keys to purchase food for her.
However, she claimed he diverted from that errand, went to her residence, retrieved her room key from its storage place, accessed the room and removed several items, including her motorcycle, gas cylinder and other personal belongings.
Since the incident, the student alleged that the suspect has stopped answering her calls.
Attempts by third parties to reach him were also unsuccessful, as calls were reportedly declined.
The accused is said to be from Vandeikya Local Government Area of Benue State.
As of the time of filing this report, the matter had not been officially confirmed by law enforcement authorities. Further updates are expected as investigations continue.
