Delta State Mother Arrested For Raping Three-Year-Old Daughter
Asaba, Delta State — Police in Delta State have taken a woman into custody following allegations that she sexually assaulted her three-year-old daughter, authorities confirmed on Tuesday.
According to a statement from the Delta State Police Command, the suspect, identified as Tracy Wilson, was apprehended after the child’s father reported the matter to officers. The father reportedly discovered a video that appeared to show the mother engaging in inappropriate conduct with their young child.
The Police Public Relations Officer for the command, SP Bright Edafe, said officers acted swiftly upon receiving the report. Investigators have seized the video evidence and have begun a formal inquiry into the alleged incident.
“This is a deeply disturbing matter,” Edafe said in a video statement shared by the police. “Our detectives are conducting a thorough investigation to ascertain the facts and ensure justice is served.”
The suspect remains in police custody as inquiries continue. No charges have yet been formally filed in court, and police are urging members of the public to come forward with any additional information that may assist the investigation.
