No New Registration Until June – NYSC Confirms

The management of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has announced that there will be no fresh online registration for new corps members until June 2026, a decision that affects recent and upcoming mobilisation cycles.

According to an official update shared on NYSC’s verified communication channels, the scheme will not open the portal for new registrations until June, when the 2026 Batch B registration is scheduled to begin. This means that only graduates who already completed the registration process and are yet to receive their call-up numbers will be eligible to proceed for the 2026 Batch A Stream II orientation exercise.

The NYSC explained that the online registration portal will remain closed for prospective corps members who have not yet registered, and that mobilisation activities for Batch A Stream II which typically follow the first stream of a batch will only involve those whose details are already on the NYSC portal dashboard.

This clarification has brought relief to many graduates who were uncertain about their status, especially those still waiting for call-up numbers after completing registration in earlier windows. It also underscores the importance of registering promptly when the portal is open, as NYSC does not usually reopen the registration link outside officially designated periods.

NYSC’s calendar for the 2026 mobilisation continues to attract attention from thousands of graduates preparing for national service, with stakeholders advised to monitor official NYSC platforms for confirmed dates and guidelines ahead of June.
