Passengers Injured As Commercial Bus Summersaults on 3rd Mainland Bridge
A nearly tragic accident has occured on Monday involving a commercial bus and a Toyota Camry on the 3rd Mainland Bridge, Lagos, leaving several passengers Injured.
This was disclosed by the Rapid Response Squad in a Facebook statement disclosing that the crash occurred before Adekunle Junction, inward Lagos Island where the bus somersaulted several times after it collided with another.
It read; “A commercial bus and a Toyota Camry were involved in an accident before Adekunle Junction.
“The bus somersaulted several times, leaving many passengers injured.
“RRS patrol teams and bikers rushed to the scene and assisted in providing first aid to the injured.
“Our men are currently assisting with first aid while officers of the Adekunle Police Division are also providing rescue support.
“Emergency service providers were also mobilised, and the RRS confirmed there was no loss of life in the incident.
“The ill-fated vehicles have been evacuated, and free vehicular movement has been restored on the route.”
Also speaking, an eye witness, Mr Tunde Alogba said;
“The accident occured at about 1pm, before Adekunle Junction, inward Lagos Island.
“While on top speed, the commercial vehicle, Danfo, with unknown registration number hit the private vehicle, a Camry model from behind leading to the bus somersaulting several times with passengers on board.”
