Many members of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Gada Local Government Area of Sokoto State have defected to the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

Officially welcoming the new members on Sunday, Senator Abubakar Gada, a key leader in the ADC coalition said their decision showed that many Nigerians are losing confidence in the APC government.

Gada further explained that people in Sokoto East and across the country are struggling with insecurity and economic hardship, that have badly affected farming, jobs, and food supply thereby leading to hunger in the land.

He added that the growing number of people joining the ADC shows that citizens want change and are ready to support a party that can tackle Nigeria’s problems.

He said: “Many Nigerians are coming to ADC because they believe in our mission to rescue the country. The APC government’s poor performance has forced people to look for hope elsewhere, and ADC is providing that option.”
