‎Former Chairman of the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission, NERC, Dr. Sam Amadi, has criticized President Bola Tinubu’s trip to Europe for a ‘working vacation’.

According to Amadi, the trip is a demonstration that the President lacks the stamina for the demands of the presidency.

Recall that the Presidency, in a statement signed by Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, announced his departure from Abuja on September 4 to begin a 10-day working vacation in Europe as part of his 2025 annual leave.

The statement explained that the president will spend the period between France and the United Kingdom before returning to Nigeria.

‎Meanwhile, in a Thursday post on X, Amadi said the President and his team were proving that he is not worthy for re-election in 2027.

He wrote; “The president and his team continue to make a strong case why he should not be reelected.

‎“He has no strength for the hard work required for that office now. He loves, and probably needs, a lot of rest.”
