Popular Ghanaian Business Man, Apostle Dr. Kwadwo Safo Kantanka Is Dead, Newsmax Nigeria has learnt.

The revered man of God and inventor is known for his pioneering work in technology, agriculture, and philanthropy which earned him the name “Kantanka, the African Star.”

The Safo family and the Kristo Asafo Church confirmed in a statement that Dr. Safo Kantanka died peacefully on Thursday, September 11, 2025.

Signed by his daughter, former Dome Kwabenya MP Sarah Adwoa Safo, the tribute described him as “a true genius, the beacon of hope for many, a father to the fatherless.”

The family wrote: “With profound sorrow and deepest grief, the Safo family and the Kristo Asafo Church announce the peaceful passing of Ghana’s beloved man of God, the greatest technological icon, philanthropist, agriculturalist and industrialist popularly referred to as ‘Kantanka, the African Star.’”

Quoting Romans 14:8 – “For if we live, we live to the Lord and if we die, we die to the Lord” – the statement reflected on his resilience, courage, and dedication, noting that Ghana had “indeed lost a gallant son and a true legend.”

The family has asked for privacy as they mourn, adding that funeral and burial arrangements will be announced in the coming days.
