Atiku Warns Tinubu to Stop Interfering in State Matters And Focus on Resolving Economic Crisis

Are You Blind or You Don’t See – Presidency Attacks Atiku For Saying Tinubu Inflicted Hunger on Nigerians

‎The Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Policy Communication, Daniel Bwala, has slammed former Vice President Atiku Abubakar for saying the level of hunger in Nigeria may lead to a revolution.

On Monday, 2023 presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Abubakar, in a statement issued by his Media Adviser, Paul Ibe, expressed concern over the level of hunger and poverty among Nigerians.

According to him, the hardship in the country was pushing the poor to the brink, with no clear evidence that the government had solutions.

He had said; “At this time, there are no manifest signs that this government is capable of addressing the grim issue of severe hunger staring the poor in the face after two years in power.

“The French Revolution, the 1917 Russian Revolution and the Arab Spring in which a young man caught in the maelstrom of unbearable frustration set himself ablaze in a development which occasioned violent socio-political eruptions starting out from Tunisia to engulf the Middle-East and North Africa.

“Back home here in Nigeria, it may not be out of place to argue that even the “ENDSARS” protest was fuelled by the traumatising frustration of hunger and insensitivity on the part of the government.

“Whatever reform the Tinubu government might claim to be undertaking, the point remains that food insecurity is a daily occurrence nationwide. There is no government worth its salt that does not place priority on the welfare and security of the people.”

Meanwhile, the presidential aide who wondered if Atiku was blind or couldn’t hear the level of progress Tinubu’s administration has made since assuming office replied on TVC’s programme, Abuja Brief.

‎He said: “National interest far outweighs the former boss or whatever, the most fundamental thing is the issues he has raised, does he have a valid point?

‎“He, Atiku, does not because the data suggests otherwise and the opposition what do you expect them to do other than to try and demarket government in other to create the buzz around what they think.

‎”What do you expect him to say other than to try and demarket the government. He said we are creating hunger, is he blind or doesn’t he hear the fact of the progress we have made?

‎”For example, he has not been able to contextualize the fact that we have increased foreign reverse, we have increased net export, we have created a system that has stabilized the economy, he won’t talk about that.

‎”He won’t talk about the caesarian section we have provided in all the hospitals in Nigeria and how people don’t have to suffer, he won’t talk about that.

‎”He should also speak about the fundamentals we have set in place. Talk is cheap, so whenever somebody says what this person is saying is wrong, ask him to contextualize because you can’t.”
