The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) on Sunday, arrested a businesswoman, Okolonkwo Ebere Theresa, at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, after she was caught attempting to smuggle dr¥gs concealed in her underwear to look like she was wearing a butt pad.

‎According to a statement issued on Sunday, September 21, 2025, by Femi Babafemi, Director of Media and Advocacy at the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), the suspect was apprehended by Aviation Security officers of FAAN in collaboration with NDLEA operatives stationed at the screening point of Terminal 2 on September 14th.

‎During a thorough search, officials discovered two parcels of white crystalline substance hidden in her butt pad underwear, which later tested positive for methamphetamine, weighing 1.40 kilograms in total.

‎In her initial statement to investigators, Ebere claimed she is a dealer in second-hand clothing and also runs a Point of Sale (POS) business in Enugu, but admitted she was recruited into drug trafficking by a criminal network.
