ADC to Win 2027 Election – Kenneth Okonkwo

‎Nollywood veteran and politician, Kenneth Okonkwo, has declared that the African Democratic Congress will win the 2027 elections and take over from the President Bola Tinubu.

‎The actor declared this while speaking on Channels Television’s Sunrise programme on Monday.

‎This is coming after the party said it should not be judged by the results of the August 16 by-elections held across 16 constituencies.

‎According to the results announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission, the ADC failed to secure any seat as the ruling All Progressives Congress won 12 of the 16 seats across nine states.

‎When he was asked whether the ADC stood a chance in the 2027 contests, Okonkwo said, “We stand a chance in every election in Nigeria.”

‎He, however, acknowledged uncertainty over contests whose primaries were completed before the party’s new leadership under David Mark took office.

‎“But I wouldn’t say the same thing for any election for which the primaries have been conducted before the coming into existence of David Bach’s leadership. Because we are not part of the people who decided that. That’s why I’m saying the true test of ADC will be in 2027.

‎“We are going to form the next government in Nigeria. And send Tinubu to Bourdillon,” he added.

‎Speaking about the party’s structure in Rivers State, Okonkwo said the ADC now exists across all 36 states of the federation.

‎He confirmed Rotimi Amaechi as the obvious party head in Rivers.
