Inside Sokoto Prison Where Nnamdi Kanu Might Spend Years (Photos)
Sokoto Prison Is Hell On Earth .ðŸ˜
I was transferred to Sokoto prison in 2018 after receiving a life sentence in 2013 on trumped-up charges of accessory to treason without evidence.

My time in Sokoto prison was extremely challenging, and I struggled to cope. I turned to Christianity and became the prison’s pastor, where I found solace.
The prison had around 1,500 inmates, with only 28 Christians and less than 100 English speakers. The majority spoke Hausa, Fulani, and Buzu.
One of the most disturbing aspects was the prevalence of h0m0sexuality among inmates. To survive, I had to be humble and adapt to the harsh environment.
The prison cells were overcrowded and difficult to endure, but I managed to survive 14 years of incarceration. I vividly remember my wife’s visit, which was made possible by Pastor Miebi Bribena, Amb. Boladei Igali, and Barr. Oweilaemi Roland(IYC President then ). She flew from PH to Sokoto, and despite the hostile treatment by wardens, she showed me love and compassion.
The emotional moment we shared, including a kiss despite my poor oral hygiene, was a testament to her devotion. Sokoto prison is a very difficult place.
