Honourable Nkemkanma Kama, House Of Reps Member, Representing Ohaozara/Onicha/Ivo Federal Constituency, Ebonyi State has postponed joining the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, Indefinitely.

NEWMAX NIGERIA gathered that Honourable Nkemkanma had planed to join APC on Friday (Tomorrow).

In a statement seen by NEWMAX NIGERIA, Hon. Nkemkanma cited insecurity ravaging the country as the reason behind the action.

IN CONSIDERATION OF THE STATE OF THE NATION.

My awesome people of Ohaozara/Onicha/Ivo Federal Constituency, my respected political leaders, associates, and friends across the nation.

This is to formally announce the indefinite postponement of my planned *defection ceremony* into the All Progressives Congress (APC), which was scheduled for tomorrow, Friday, 28th November, 2025.

This decision was not made lightly. After thorough reflection on our Governor’s wise counsel and in consultation with our leaders in the Constituency on the current state of our nation, particularly the distressing security challenges and the plight of many Nigerians whose loved ones have been abducted, we are compelled to align our actions with the mood of the nation.

In this moment of national trial, it is inappropriate to proceed with a celebration of this nature and magnitude. Our hearts and solidarity lie with the grieving families and all those affected by the insecurity in our land. This cancellation is a gesture of sympathy and a stand in support of Mr. President’s conscious and dedicated efforts to curtail this menace.

To my friends, esteemed political leaders, and supporters who have travelled from far and wide to stand with me, I offer my most profound and sincere apologies for the significant inconvenience this last-minute decision has caused you. Your sacrifice and commitment mean the world to me, and I am truly sorry for any disruption to your plans.

To my beloved family and the great people of Ohaozara/Onicha/Ivo Federal Constituency, who have prepared earnestly for this event, I thank you for your unwavering support and understanding. Your resilience and dedication are my constant source of strength. Definitely, at the appropriate time, we shall celebrate this already historic political alignment.

Let me be clear; my commitment to the progress and safety of our people remains absolute. I stand resolutely with His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, our steadfast State Governor, His Excellency Rt. Hon.Bldr. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, and all our political leaders in the Constituency, in the urgent fight to secure a peaceful and prosperous society for all Nigerians.

We shall overcome these challenges together.
