Nollywood actress Angela Okorie has apologised to her colleague, Mercy Johnson, as well as Johnson’s children and family, over previous disagreements and statements made about them.

In a video shared on her Instagram page on Wednesday, Okorie thanked her supporters before addressing the purpose of the message, which she said was directed specifically at Johnson and her family.

The actress explained that with age and experience, she now prioritises peace and no longer wishes to be involved in disputes within the film industry. She noted that misunderstandings and rumours had contributed to tensions between both parties in the past.

Okorie expressed regret over comments she may have made on social media concerning Johnson, saying she was deeply sorry for any hurt caused. She also dismissed negative labels previously associated with Johnson.

Speaking about their families, the actress emphasised the need for harmony, noting that their children could cross paths in the future and form friendships. She condemned bullying and said no child should be targeted because of issues between adults.

She added that both actresses had already spoken privately and reconciled, stating that she had accepted Johnson’s apology and was ready to move forward.

Okorie concluded by offering prayers and goodwill to Johnson, describing the apology as a new beginning and a step toward making peace.

Meanwhile, Newsmaxng earlier reported that the actress was recently arrested in Lagos by operatives of the Lagos State Criminal Investigation Department over allegations bordering on cyberstalking, threats and harassment. She was later granted bail in the sum of ₦5 million.
