Katsina Water Board MD Dies in Auto Crash, Gov Radda Mourns
Katsina State Governor, Mallam Dikko Radda, has mourned the passing of the Managing Director of the Katsina State Water Board, Tukur Tingilin, describing his death as a painful blow to the state.
Tingilin reportedly died on Thursday following injuries sustained in a road accident.
In a statement released on Friday by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Ibrahim Kaula, Radda said the loss was particularly tragic at a time when the administration was stepping up efforts to enhance water supply across the state.
The governor commended the late Water Board chief for his unwavering dedication, professionalism and strong sense of duty, noting that his tenure was defined by tireless service to the people of Katsina.
According to the statement, Radda said Tingilin’s leadership significantly strengthened initiatives aimed at expanding access to clean and safe water for households across the state.
He also expressed comfort in the belief that Tingilin passed on as a devout Muslim during the sacred month of Ramadan.
On behalf of the state government and the people of Katsina, the governor extended his sympathies to the bereaved family and residents of Malumfashi Local Government Area, praying for divine strength and comfort for all affected by the loss.
