Abuja, Nigeria — The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has officially opened its online membership registration portal, making it easier and more convenient for Nigerians both at home and abroad to sign up as members of the party.

In a statement issued on Sunday and signed by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, the digital registration site, adcregistration.ng, is now live and available for interested Nigerians to complete their registration or revalidate existing membership details.

According to the party, the new online system is part of its ongoing nationwide membership registration and revalidation drive, which began with a launch in Abuja last month. It is designed to support compliance with the Electoral Act 2026, which requires political parties to maintain a verified digital membership register ahead of key political activities like primaries, congresses, and conventions.

“We have recorded strong interest from Nigerians across states and in the diaspora,” the ADC said, stressing that the online portal will remove barriers to entry and simplify the sign-up process for new and existing members.

The party also noted that manual registration will continue simultaneously in states and local communities for those who prefer to register physically.

Only individuals whose information is fully captured and verified in the party’s official digital register will be eligible to vote or be voted for in internal party primaries, the statement added. Support groups and party associations are also encouraged to take advantage of the digital platform.

The ADC said the online registration initiative reflects its commitment to building a modern, citizen-driven political movement in Nigeria as the nation prepares for the 2027 general elections.
