Governor Dapo Abiodun has commended President Bola Tinubu for his recent visit to Ogun State, during which several major infrastructure projects were commissioned to boost development and economic activity.
In a statement shared via his official Facebook page on Tuesday, Abiodun expressed appreciation to the President for the visit, describing it as a significant milestone in the state’s ongoing development efforts. He noted that the projects inaugurated during the visit highlight the growing collaboration between the federal and state governments.
Among the projects commissioned were key infrastructure initiatives, including the Gateway International Airport in Iperu, alongside other strategic developments aimed at improving transportation, logistics, and security across the state.
The governor also disclosed that he presented President Tinubu with a ceremonial sword, describing the gesture as symbolic and a mark of honour and respect from the people of Ogun State.
Abiodun added that the President’s visit underscores the importance of partnership between different levels of government in driving sustainable development and improving the welfare of citizens.
President Tinubu, in his remarks during the visit, praised the infrastructural progress recorded in the state, noting that such projects reflect the positive impact of ongoing reforms and effective governance at the subnational level.
