A man identified as Theophilus Osazuwa reportedly kills his 4-year old son while in trance.
Upon arresting him, the Edo state police command said they are suspecting Osazuwa of killing his son under the influence of drug.
In a statement by the command’s spokesperson(Moses Yamu) on Wednesday night, Osazuwa was in a trance when he suddenly shouted ‘holy ghost fire’, rushed his 4-year old son and slammed his head against the wall.
Moses said that the suspect committed the abominable act at around 12:30pm on Tuesday .
Speaking further, Moses mentioned that the suspect returned home on 24th December, 2024 at 12:30, he suddenly went berserk.
While at it, the suspect suddenly shouted ‘holy ghost fire’ and sent his son to the world beyond.
Furthermore, upon investigation, the police found out that Mr Osazuwa is known for consumption of illicit drugs(ice, colloquial, etc), the police suspects that he (the suspect) must have acted under the influence of drug. Mr Moses said.
However, the police has arrested the said man and commissioner of police advises youths to steer clear illicit substances.
