Vehicle in Tinubu’s Convoy Crushes Three to Death in Bayelsa

At least three persons have been confirmed dead after a vehicle in the convoy of President Bola Tinubu was involved in a fatal accident during a working visit to Bayelsa State.

The incident occurred on Friday in Obogoro community, near the Dr Goodluck Jonathan Bridge, as the presidential motorcade moved through the area. The president was in the state for a one-day visit to inaugurate projects executed by Governor Douye Diri.

Eyewitness accounts indicate that one of the vehicles in the convoy lost control and veered off the road, crashing into roadside structures, including a mechanic workshop. The impact led to the death of three people reportedly a teenage girl and two adult men who were caught in the accident.

Sources at the scene said the vehicle only came to a halt after hitting concrete barriers linked to ongoing construction work in the area. The victims were later recovered from the wreckage as residents gathered in shock over the incident.

Security operatives quickly intervened, removing the driver from the scene and dispersing onlookers as tension rose within the community.
