President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has expressed Nigeria’s support for the United Arab Emirates following recent attacks targeting civilian and economic infrastructure in the Gulf nation.
In a statement issued on Thursday, Tinubu emphasized Nigeria’s commitment to global peace and solidarity with its allies, particularly in times of security challenges.
“Nigeria is for global peace and stability and for its friends and partners anywhere,” the President said.
He added, “I am particularly concerned by the attacks on UAE’s civilian and economic infrastructure. I reaffirm my support and solidarity to the President of UAE and the measures he took to safeguard civilian populations and critical infrastructure.”
The President’s remarks come in response to recent incidents in the UAE, where hostile actions reportedly involving aerial attacks, have targeted key facilities, raising concerns about regional security and the safety of civilians. The attacks have been linked to ongoing tensions in the Middle East, including spillovers from conflicts involving armed groups operating in the region.
