Governor Hope Uzodimma has launched a new digital platform aimed at promoting the policies and reform agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, while addressing the growing challenge of misinformation in the public space.
The platform, unveiled in Abuja, is designed to serve as a central hub where Nigerians can access verified and up-to-date information on government programmes, policies, and ongoing reforms.
Speaking at the launch, Uzodimma explained that the initiative is intended to simplify government communication and make official information more accessible to citizens.
According to him, the platform aggregates policy explanations, reform updates, and relevant data in one place, supported by digital tools that enhance outreach and engagement.
He noted that it would help bridge the information gap between the government and the public by presenting complex policy issues in a clearer and more understandable format.
The governor also emphasised the role of the platform in combating misinformation, stating that it is equipped to monitor public discourse and provide timely, factual responses to misleading narratives about the administration.
He added that ensuring the availability of accurate information is critical to strengthening public trust and participation.
Beyond information dissemination, the initiative is expected to encourage citizen engagement by offering channels for feedback and interaction, allowing Nigerians to contribute to discussions on governance and national development priorities.
The launch comes at a time when concerns over the spread of false information continue to rise, with the government seeking more effective ways to communicate its policies and achievements.
The platform is also expected to support broader efforts to improve transparency and public understanding of ongoing reforms under the current administration.
