Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has approved a cabinet reshuffle affecting political appointees across his administration, including Special Advisers, Advisers, Senior Special Assistants, Special Assistants, the Deputy Chief of Staff and the Principal Private Secretary.
The decision was announced in a statement issued on Monday by the Governor’s Deputy Chief Press Secretary, Mashood Agboola, who described the exercise as a minor cabinet shake-up.
“Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has approved a minor cabinet shake-up involving all Special Advisers, Advisers, Senior Special Assistants, and Special Assistants,” the statement read.
According to the statement, the restructuring is aimed at creating opportunities for more members of the ruling party to serve while injecting fresh energy into the administration.
The statement also confirmed that the Deputy Chief of Staff and the Principal Private Secretary to the Governor are among those affected by the changes.
Governor AbdulRazaq expressed appreciation to the affected officials for their contributions and service to the state, wishing them success in their future endeavours.
The governor further directed all affected appointees to return every government property in their possession to the Office of the Secretary to the State Government as part of the transition process.
