Ogun Security Guards Who Set Man Ablaze Thinking He was a Thief Arrested by the Police

Two security guard who work for a man allegedly sets man on blaze in Ogun state because they were thinking he was a thief.

In a statement to the media on Tuesday, the state police command said that the victim was approaching the house which the guards were in charge of.

On the day of incident, the victim had gone to the building because he was helping his boss(Fatai Ifekoya) move his properties to his new apartment in Ijokun.

However, when Segun Sodiya and Seguna Abatan-the security guards thoughts he was stealing them which led to them setting him ablaze.

Meanwhile, the victim, Basiru Aliu is 44 years old.

According to the police spokesperson who spoke to the press, the victim’s employer was the one who reported the incident.

The police through Omolala Odutola- spokesperson also confirmed the arrest of the guards.

Fortunately however, the police also said the victim was rescued immediately the report was brought to them and taken to royal cottage hospital, Agura Sabo and is receiving treatment.

The guards are still in custody and would be prosecuted for attempted murder after investigation.

Speaking further, she(police spokesperson) warned the general to refrain from taking laws into their hands.
