FG Finally Launches Youth Farmer’s Enrollment Portal to Limit Unemployment

The Federal Government of Nigeria has taken measures to limit and possibly, completely eliminate unemployment among youths by launching the youth enrollment empowerment portal.

In a statement by the director of information and public relations(Omolara Esan), on Friday, Atodele Olawande, the Minister of youth development made this known.

“This empowerment is designed to align young people with the economic agenda of president Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, promoting active youth participation in economic development” Olawande said.

According to the statement, the initiative is aimed at generating upto 6 million direct jobs for Nigerian youths.

Youth Farmer’s Enrollment Portal

The youth enrollment portal is targeting youths within 18-35 years offering them a wide range of empowerment programs including; Agricultural training programs, financial support for Agricultural ventures(starting or existing), modern farm techniques, mentorship opportunities, etc.

Young people who have interest in any of the offers mentioned above can enrol via the portal www.niyeedep.org.

Furthermore, according to the statement, the major focus of the initiative include; reducing household poverty, improving food security, increasing production, and most importantly, tackling youth unemployment.

Youths were therefore, advised to make good use of this opportunity, from Olawande’s statement.
