An Akwa Ibom pastor, Louis Akpojotor Mevoweoyo has been arrested by the Akwa Ibom state police command for allegedly defiling his daughter.
Apparently, the suspect has been defiling his daughter since she turned 12 years old.
The public relations officer of the police, Timfon John revealed this in a media briefing on Monday, 20th January 2025.
Also, the spokesperson of the police said the most recent act took place in December 2024 and the girl is 14 years old.
“We have arrested one Louis Akpojotor Mevoweoyo, a pastor from Ughelli North LGA, residing in Ibiono Ibom for defiling his daughter”.
Furthermore, another Suspect, Daniel Effiong, 32 years old, was arrested for the same crime on a girl(name with held )whom he threatened with a machete, dragged into the bush and defiled.
“Investigation revealed a history of sexual assault by the suspects on other teenage girls” she said.
