Following the recent Killings at Amegu Nkalaha Community , Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru on Sunday disclosed that  preliminary investigation by Security Agencies showed the dastard act was perpetrated by some criminal elements from the community and not herdsmen as alleged earlier, describing it as unfortunate.

Nwifuru made this known  shortly after a church service at the Government House Chapel.

Governor Nwifuru during the service also approved the appointment of Prof Michael Ugota Awoke as Vice Chancellor of the State University , EBSU

This followed the recommendations of the Governing Council of the University.

Also appointed are Prof. Ike Elechi Ogba as Deputy Vice Chancellor, Academic, and Prof. Michael Ajanwachukwu as Deputy Vice Chancellor, Administration.

Others are Mrs Ugochinyere Mba Uka , Registrar; Mrs Roseline Nwuzor, Bursar and Mrs Victoria Nwali, Librarian.
