No Pilgrim Will Miss Hajj 2025 – Shettima Directs NAHCON to Fix Visa Concerns

Nigeria’s vice president, Kashim Shettima has reassured intending pilgrims that nothing is going to stop them from attending 2025 Hajj as he directed NAHCON to ensure all visa concerns are taken care of.

“We will not allow any Nigerian intending pilgrim to miss the 2025 Hajj. The pilgrimage will be seamless, and every challenge will be addressed promptly,” he said.

The vice president said this in a meeting on Monday with management and board of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria(NAHCON ) in his office at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

This meeting was held after the VP got reports of a contractual dispute with Saudi service provider, Mashariq Al-Dhahabiah which could potentially hinder visa approval for pilgrims in Nigeria.

Revealing excerpts from the meeting was the Senior Special Assistant to the VP on Media and Communication, Stanley Nkwocha.

“NAHCON must do whatever it takes to guarantee the full participation of our pilgrims without any hindrance.

“From now on, we must have to set the right standards, move in the right direction and have a hitch-free hajj exercise”, Shettima said.

On the other hand, when  the NAHCON chairman, Prof Saleh Usman addressed the purported contract cancellation with the Saudi-based company, he said there was no cause for alarm stating that everything was under control.
