The National Chairman of the Labour Party(LP) Julius Abure, on Monday, has warned 2027 political candidates of the party that there is no vacancy in the party.

During his speech at the public conference before the meeting of the National Executive Committee at the party secretariat, Abure indirectly suggested that Peter Obi and Alexx Otti betrayed Labour Party.

“Tell them that there is no vacancy in our party. In the Labour Party, we don’t betray our candidates even though some betray us after giving them tickets.

“We also want to urge those who have been deceived by the last week’s misleading interpretation of the Supreme Court judgment to disregard the speculation. I remain the National Chairman of the Labour Party.

“Again, the Labour Party Constitution does not recognize the setting up of a caretaker committee for party affairs.

Marking his first appearance after the Supreme Court’s judgement, Abure further stressed that the apex court’s judgement was clear and party matters remain internal.
