The Sole Administrator of Rivers State, Vice Admiral Ibok-Etteh Ibas, has denied news that he had summoned the Governor of Rivers State, Fubara and His deputy — Prof. Ngozi Odu.
Debunking the news, Ibas said it is ‘fraudulent and misleading’ and meant to mislead the general public.
This was contained in a Wednesday statement by the Permanent Secretary, office of the Rivers State secretary, Dede Friday.
“The Rivers State Government categorically states that this announcement is fake and did not originate from any official source.
“We urge the public to disregard this and any similar misinformation, as they are the work of troublemakers seeking to destabilise the state,” the statement read in part.
