Former Benue Gov. Ortom Cancels 64th Birthday Celebration in Solidarity With Victims of Recent Attack on The State
In a statement on Wednesday, Samuel Ortom, the former Govern of Benue State has announced the cancellation of his 64th Birthday Celebration arrangements in solidarity with victims of the recent attack on the state.
Released by his media aide, Terver Akase, the statement revealed Ortom’s intention to stand with the victims of the invasion, attack and killings in the state — by this gesture.
Praying for himself on his new age, the ex-govern urged all citizens to always pray for Tinubu and Others on seat for Grace to tackle insecurities in the land.
“In light of the ongoing intensified invasion, attacks, and senseless killings of innocent Benue people by Fulani terrorists across various local government areas, I have decided not to hold any celebration or festivities.
“I remain grateful to God Almighty for His mercy, good health, and blessings over the past 64 years, and I reaffirm my commitment to the service of God and humanity in the years ahead.
“Pray for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Benue State Governor Hyacinth Alia, and Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume for God to grant them wisdom and strength to tackle the nation’s security challenges,” he stated.
