52-year-old Kelechi Godwin has been arraigned before Zimbabwe court over charges of forged marriage to secure residency permit.

According to the prosecution, Kelechi allegedly submitted fake marriage certificate to the immigration office and other documents including spousal permit letter.

Contrary to what he made people at the office believe, his supposed wife (Patience Godwin) according to investigation — had not been seen in Zimbabwe from 2008.

Meanwhile, Kelechi faked his marriage from 2009-20014.

The court however, dismissed Kelechi on April 15th on conditions; report to Bulawayo Central Police Station monthly, $400, and avoid contact with witness.

While the police continue investigation, the court hearing was adjourned to 30th April.
