Tinubu Bags Chieftaincy Title In Anambra

During his visit to Anambra state on Thursday, President Bola Tinubu has bagged a chieftaincy title which was conferred on him by the Chairman of Anambra State Traditional Rulers Council, Igwe Chidubem Iweka (Ogalagidi, Eze Iweka III).

At the Dr. Alex Ekwueme Square, Awka — where the president went to Inaugurate the state Governor’s projects— all the royal fathers from the 179 communities of Anambra state —gave him a Chieftaincy title of ‘Dike si mba Anambra’.

Present at the event were other dignitaries including; The National Security Adviser(Alhaji Nuhu Ribadu), Ogun State governor (Chief Dapo Abiodun), Imo State governor(Hope Uzodimma), Abia State governor(Alex Otti), Enugu State governor(Peter Mbah) and Minister of Works(Dave Umahi).

While he conferred the title on behalf of all royal fathers —Igwe Iweka welcomed the president to the state and said the title is in recognition of his good works across Nigeria.

“This is a title from all the royal fathers in the 179 communities of Anambra State. The title is called ‘Dike si mba Anambra’, meaning ‘warrior from the Diaspora’, and it is in recognition of your good works across the country,” he stated.

He added; “With your efforts, we have seen critical infrastructure such as key roads that connect the Second Niger Bridge as well as other projects in our communities. May God continue to offer you more wisdom to steer the ship of governance.”

Meanwhile, president Tinubu accepted the title and thanked the entire people of Anambra declaring that “Our diversity must lead to prosperity —we must work together to lead Nigeria. We must commit ourselves for the development of the country.

“I feel deeply honoured by the conferment of a chieftaincy title by the royal fathers of this state. Today is not only historic, but one which I will forever treasure for the rest of my life,” he said.
