10 Inmates Escape New Orleans jail Through Hole in The Toilet
On Friday, ten inmates escaped from a New Orleans jail after they dug a hole in the toilet and passed through.
Authorities from the Orleans Parish Sheriff’s Office said they inmates had tampered with a cell door and began the escape at around 12:22am.
Confirming the incident, the Orleans Parish Sheriff, Susan Hutson said it was not discovered until a routine headcount at 8:30 a.m.
Upon discovery, the Federal and state law enforcement agencies were alerted and the New Orleans police was notified by 10:30 a.m.
In a surveillance footage, the escapees would be shown entering the cell whose door they had tampered with and they passed through the hole they dug in the wall behind a toilet.

Interestingly, the convicts successfully passed through a loading dock and tactically passed through a barbed-wire fence using blankets, and fled toward nearby railroad tracks and Interstate 10.
However, the authorities also reported that three of the escapees were since captured; Robert Moody, Dkenan Dennis and Kendell Myles.
According to the report, Kendell Myles who was charged of attempted second-degree murder, was found hiding under a vehicle in a French Quarter hotel garage. Meanwhile, Dkenan Dennis was located near Chef Menteur Highway while details of Robert Moody’s arrest is not disclosed yet.
Among the remaining escapees who are yet to be captured, four were charged with second-degree murder: Corey Boyd, Lenton Vanburen, Jermaine Donald, and Derrick Groves.
The authorities have been following leads as orange jail uniforms were found discarded in a nearby neighbourhood.
While the authorities suspect; due to the discovery, that the escapees may have changed clothes shortly after fleeing the jail, it has urged the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity.
“We have made progress,” Orleans Superintendent Anne Kirkpatrick said.
However, investigators suspect that someone within the facility might have aided the jailbreak stating that It’s almost impossible to escape from the prison without any assistance from an internal. Or, it could be faulty cell locks.
