Residents have been left in utmost shock as a man identified simply as Udokwukwu has reportedly set his and child ablaze after his wife asked for feeding money, in Aba, Abia state.
The man who is said to be a shoe maker hails From Onicha Ngwa, in Obingwa Local Government Area of Abia state.
According to the report, Udochukwu had been mad at his wife over an alleged infidelity when she came to his shop where he made shoes to request feeding money.
Udochukwu who was resident in Osisioma with his family, was said to have returned home with fuel the same night as he was also angry at the manner with which the wife had requested the money.
Coupled with the anger from the reported infidelity, the deceased whose wife was simply identified as Mary had met her sleeping with their little baby when he poured the fuel and lit the house burning the mother and child alive.
However, according to witness sources, Udochukwu was later found dead the next day as it is suspected that some individuals unleashed their anger and killed him.
The Abia state police command is yet to make an official statement on this incident at the time of reporting this.
Meanwhile, the bodies of the dead were already deposited at the morgue as the incident has got people talking.
