The Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security has issued an internal circular calling for its staff to embark on three days prayer and fasting to seek “divine intervention for protection and national development” over food insecurity challenges in Nigeria.

Dated June 11, 2025, the circular was posted on the ministry’s X page on Saturday, signed by the Director of Human Resource Management, Mrs. Adedayo Modupe O.

It read; “This is to invite all staff of the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security to a solemn prayer session for God’s guidance and success in supporting the government’s efforts to achieve food security.”

Themed “divine intervention for protection and national development”, the prayer sessions are scheduled to commence on 16th of June, 23rd and end on 30th.

It will hold at Conference Hall “B” of the FMAFS headquarters in Area 11, Abuja, from 12:00 PM to 12:30pm prompt on the aforementioned dates.

“Kindly come fasting on June 16, 23rd and 30th,” the circular added referring to staff of the ministry.
