The lawmaker representing Kogi Central Senatorial District, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, arrived the Federal High Court, Abuja, on Monday morning for a second arraignment on alleged defamation of the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, and former Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello.

Accompanied by her husband; Emmanuel Uduaghan, activist Aisha Yesufu; and her supporters, the senator walked into the court room all smiles and cheerful.

The court would be presided over by Justice Mohammed Umar of the Federal.

On Sunday, the senator had shared a post on her social media handle expressing readiness for the Monday hearing.

Recall that the lawmaker was arraigned on the same defamatory charge on June 19, 2025, at the FCT High Court, Abuja wherein the judge refused to arrest the Senator as requested by the federal government.

Supporters of the Senator and netizens are on the lookout for the possible outcome of the Monday hearing.
