Peter Obi, Soludo Keeps Quiet 48 Hours After Gunmen Killed 13 Ebonyians In Anambra
The 2023 presidential candidate under the Labour Party, Peter Obi, and the governor of Anambra state, Chukwuma Soludo have remained silent over the gruesome killing of 10 Ebonyi Indigenes in Anambra, on Tuesday.
NEWSMAXNG reports that no fewer than 10 people (as clarified by the police) were killed on Tuesday evening in an Anambra community, reported to be Indigenes of Ikwo, Izzi and Ngbo of Ebonyi state, Abakaliki.
While the Anambra State police command earlier disclosed that they were probing the incident to capture those behind the act, the state governor and other necessary authorities have remained silent.

The governor of Ebonyi state, Francis Nwifuru in a statement issued on Tuesday by his Chief Press Secretary, Dr Monday Uzor, described the incident as a barbaric and seamless act of violence meted on law-abiding citizens of the state.
He said; “This senseless act of violence against law-abiding citizens is not only barbaric but a direct assault on peace, unity, and the sanctity of human life.
“It defies reason and logic that a group of Ebonyi people holding meeting in a peaceful manner will be shot at on a close range. It is unacceptable, and I frown strongly at such heinous act in its entirety.”
On the other hand, netizens are concerned that the former governor of Anambra state, Peter Obi known to always comment and condemn such similar incidents in other states, has remained calm, too.
Earlier, the chairman of APGA youths had published an open letter to the governors of the two states and Ohanaeze Ndigbo, condemning the act and demanding immediate response and justice to be served.
However, roughly 48 hours after the incident, no Anambra government body has issued an official statement neither has any made a move.
The Anambra police had also stated that the bodies of the deceased were already deposited at the morgue while the chairman of the Ebonyi Indigenes in Anambra who narrowly escaped death alongside his treasurer, were receiving treatment at the hospital.
Ebonyians are demanding justice for the lives of their brothers, fathers, uncles and sons killed for no just cause in Anambra State.
Different organizations have petitioned the Anambra and Federal government to ensure justice is served and all perpetrators are brought to book.
