The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has arrested a content creator, Muhammed Kabir Sa’ad, for for spraying and stepping on naira notes in a video which he posted online.
According to the EFCC in a statement on X Monday —operatives of the Kaduna Zonal Directorate had apprehended Sa’ad after he shared a video on his social media accounts daring EFCC to arrest him if they could — a statement which he made in Hausa in the video and wrote as a caption on the video, too.
They also disclosed that the creator would be charged to court when investigation was concluded.
“Sa’ad made a video of himself on his TikTok and Instagram accounts (@youngcee0066), where he was seen throwing naira notes on the floor, deliberately stepping on them, and daring EFCC officers in Hausa language to arrest him if they could.
“He was subsequently picked up in the Tudun Wada area of Kaduna State through surveillance and conveyed to the Kaduna Zonal Directorate of the Commission for interrogation,” the Commission wrote.
