Okpebholo, a Gift From Ancestors to Restore Lost Glory – Oba Ewuare of Benin
Ewuare II, the traditional ruler (Oba) of Benin, has praised the state’s Governor Monday Okpebholo, describing him as a gift from his ancestors to restore the Lost Glory of the land.
The Oba made this statement when Okpebholo visited his palace in Benin after winning the Edo Governorship Election Tribunal which his election as governor of the state, up high.
When Oba Ewuare lifted the governor from his kneeling position, he called on his ancestors to bless him and let his administration bring development to the land.
“It shall be well with you, your wife, and children. Your journey to Edo, our ancestors approved it.
“Our ancestors brought you to restore the lost glory of Edo State, which evil doers wanted to ruin. We have been praying, and we will continue to pray for you, not to allow evil forces to destroy Edo,” he prayed.
On the other hand, the Governor expressed satisfaction over the election judgement saying it was his first time of seeing all judges agree on a victory.
